This station is leased
by BHP Billiton and lies to the west and south of the
Olympic
Dam mine. Main landscape types include sandhills
and Arcoona tableland country vegetated principally
by saltbush and blue bush.
This property is south of the dog fence and we predominantly
run owned and agisted cattle for local organic markets.
A strong emphasis is placed on environmental management
with weeds and feral pest monitoring and management
conducted routinely.
Most of the Arid
Recovery Reserve is located on Roxby Downs station
and bilbies have been reintroduced into feral predator
controlled regions outside of the reserve.
The town of Roxby
Downs is named after this station, as the town is
located on land that was once part of the station.
