Muloorina Station

4000 square kilometres

Muloorina Station is a 4000 square km property situated 54 km North West of Marree on the edge on Lake Eyre and breeds Poll Hereford cattle.

Muloorina is a family owned property which has been in the same family since 1936 and is currently run by Trevor and Cindy Mitchell.

The Mitchell family have continually worked to increase the standard of their Poll Hereford cattle using bulls from the West Coast and mid North studs.

Daughter Lisa has started her own Poll Hereford stud (Cobin Poll Hereford) and hopes to breed and sell commercial cattle.

Muloorina is half way between Marree and Lake Eyre North. There are camping grounds on the banks of the Frome creek, where the wet lands are home to many birds and other wild life. Campers can come and stay with a donation going to the Royal Flying Doctors.
